Turning sales presentations into powerful, adaptable stories
The world of consulting is wide and ever-changing. Our client, a global $1 billion firm, knows you must keep pace with evolving information, industry trends, and changing regulations to be listened to.
Staying current wasn’t our client’s problem, though. Their challenge was in presentation.
The challenge: Making messaging easier with a story kit
During the sales process, consultants have a short timeline to respond. However, presentations had to be tailored to each unique business opportunity while still being packed with lots of detailed information. They needed a solution that is versatile and adaptable, allowing them the flexibility to pick, choose, and easily update what they wanted to show their own clients – and not have to spend a lot of time or money every time they did it.
We responded with a solution that keeps presentations both organized and expandable through every step of the buyer journey, from 5-minute introductory calls to detailed sales pitches and everything in between.
Our goal: A never-ending story
No presentation will ever use the entire story kit, and that’s one of its greatest strengths.
The story kit is a “living” library of content. As the client’s experience and capabilities change, the story kit can be expanded and modified to cover all the solutions and insights to keep pace with industry and marketplace demands – no overhauls required!
How we did it
LaFleur worked within our client’s budget to create a unique “story kit,” an ever-expanding set of modules designed so that any two sections – or even parts of sections – will look consistent and tell a consistent, resonant story when part of the same presentation deck.
The client already had a lot of the information needed, but because different people were regularly recreating slides independently from the rest of the team, there wasn’t a systematic approach that provided a consistent look, feel, and tone to proposals.
The guided story kit we created includes detailed instructions for client use and tips for getting more out of client presentations. Modules are divided between different products, specializations, and needs, with individual sections highlighting:
- The client’s approach and philosophy in serving these areas
- Specific services the client provides
- What sets the client apart in providing these services
- Deeper dives into solutions provided by the client
- The client’s own success stories
By choosing, arranging, and personalizing modules as they saw fit, our client can tailor its presentations to perfectly match their audiences’ needs, helping them take on new opportunities and grow.
