Amy Hinman earned her Bachelor of Arts in Writing and Spanish with honors from Grand Valley State University, and she spent a semester abroad at the Universidad de Granada in Granada, Spain. She’s spent her career doing in-house marketing, design, and communications. You can find her short stories, poetry, and essays in literary journals and across the internet.
Although she’s a poet at heart, Amy has worn every marketing hat imaginable, from graphic design to email marketing, content creation, social media, and more, but her wheelhouse is the written word. Perennially amazed by the power of thoughtful narrative, Amy is most passionate about finding the heart of a story to build human connections.
Outside of work, Amy loves to make and explore in true renaissance-woman form. She has travelled in and around Central America, Europe, and Asia, (she’s got her eye on South America) and she enjoys devouring Spanish-language poetry. You can often find her cooking with veggies grown by her farmer husband, riding her bike, drawing comics, playing classical piano, or performing with her improv troupe. She also spends a great deal of time admiring her cat.
